Victoria Guerrero, pianist from Jerez, was awarded the Extraordinary Jury Prize in 2022 at the prestigious Internationaler Wettbewerb für Liedkunst Stuttgart competition, organised by the Internationaler Hugo Wolf Akademie. This recognition consolidates her career as a Lied performer, adding it to other awards such as best pianist at the Das Lied-International Song Competition in Heidelberg (2017) and at the Paula-Salomon-Lindberg-Liedwettbewerbs of the University of the Arts in Berlin (2015).
Victoria has been a regular pianist at the Bonner Schumannfests at the Schumannhaus in Bonn since 2016. In recent years, she has also given recitals at prominent festivals such as the Schubertiada in Vilabertran (Catalonia), the Schubertiada in Valdegovía (Basque Country), the Lied Cycle at the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Lied Cycle at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Lied Festival at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao. In 2023, she made her debut at the International Lied Festival in Zeist, in the Netherlands.
Passionate about Lied, she specialized in this genre with a master's degree at the Musikhochschule Freiburg (Germany) under the tutelage of pianist Pauliina Tukiainen and later completed a postgraduate degree with the prestigious Hartmut Höll at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe. Her studies began at the “Belén Fernández” School of Music and Dance with María Jesús Durán and at the “Joaquín Villatoro” Professional Music Conservatory in Jerez. She continued her training as a soloist with the pianist Óscar Martín at the “Manuel Castillo” Conservatory of Seville and completed a master’s degree in Freiburg with Tibor Szász.
During her training, she received support from scholarships such as the FrauenFörderStipendium and the Juventudes Musicales de Madrid. In 2012, she won third prize in the Young Concert Artists category at the national piano competition in Veguellina de Órbigo (León). She also attended courses with great Lied masters such as Helmut Deutsch, Anne le Bozec, Jan Philip Schulze, Wolfgang Rieger, David Selig, and with singers such as Andreas Schmidt, Christoph Prégardian and Christiane Iven.
In June 2022, he released his first album, petiteMORT, together with soprano Natalia Labourdette, with the German label Genuin Classic.
Currently, she combines her career as a lied concert pianist with his work as an accompanying pianist in the singing department of the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.
